Chanel Cruise 2013/14 Fashion Show

My Saturday is already perfect with this.  The opulent long pearl necklaces, wide navy stripes, creme silk gown, and the classic black and white that defines Coco Chanel.  All never failed to reinvent the Audrey Hepburn style with the same touch of elegance and aristocracy.  Always classy.

The most surprising thing to me is that the show was held in Singapore, and I can’t stop asking myself now what am I doing here in Berkeley.

Vintage. Vintage. Vintage. Vintage. Vintage.

Love it’s a special day
We should celebrate and appreciate
That you and me found something pretty neat
And I know some say this day is arbitrary
So won’t you be my honeybee
Giving sweet kisses all the time
Be mine
Be my valentine

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2013 Fashion Show

The checker board dresses, monochrome prints, girl pairings as matched and mismatched twins, and the Marc Jacobs girls. Absolutely stunning, sophisticated, elegant, and vintage yet modern. The show itself is innovative and out of this world. Last year we saw Kate Moss with the other models on a whimsical carousel and all wondered where would that take us to - escalators. And then everyone was gasping for air. Pure genius.

Can I just say that this is an obsession now?

Florida Video Diary // Spring Break’13

Probably a little amateur but I was wonderstruck

PS: blowing that bubble was harder than it seems!

Hawai’i Diary I
Somehow listening to “I’ll Be” by Edward McCain over and over again on my iTunes has made me browse through these sweet, warm and cheerful pictures of Hawai’i and caused me to miss that blissful feeling.
There are so many so many things about the place that will make one fall instantly and constantly in deep love with this place, and memories to be kept for life. From walking and hiking up to the top of Diamond Head all the way from Leonard’s Bakery for four hours, to the absolutely one of the most gorgeous views I’ve seen, to the several shades of blue of the sea and sky, to the yellow beach umbrellas on the golden sand, and to witnessing wedding photo shoots. Everything, every single little thing, was worth every second spent.
I couldn’t help but smile to myself whenever I think of all the cute and innocently stupid things that we did. Be it running across the street and screaming to rush before the red light, or chasing hats that got blown away, or being busy with wearing necklaces and flower pins just to still look pretty even when hiking mountains, or getting sunburnt unknowingly and forced to wrap scarf over on the last day, or coming back to The Stupid Factory four days in a row, or chasing a cute and tan guy during Luau just to have a photo taken with him, or going up to the stage to do a Hula dance in front of hundreds of people but actually it’s really just for the photos of us dancing, or even being shameless in asking strangers to take three continuos failed jump shots for us.
Having no sense of time except for catching sunsets, shopping on Waikiki strip right beside the beach, walking miles and miles without feeling tired, having that carefree feeling as the most wonderful thing in the world,
I would give up everything to be right there at this beautiful island now. Hawai’i Diary I

Islands of Adventure Diary
I can be smiling for the whole day just by browsing through the hundreds of photos taken during Spring break. Those theme parks surely have their magic working for a long while even after we left them.
The bright sun in the pictures was deceiving because it was breezily windy especially in the morning. I remember how cold my bare legs were while riding The Hulk coaster and being swung, turned and flipped in the air. And the funniest thing was I wasn’t concerned about that the most, but was more worried that my flats would fell off from my feet during the extreme ride.
The champion ride of the day was Jurassic Park. My brother and I rode it twice in a row. And I have to thank my bright yellow raincoat for keeping me dry (and clean). It was the best ride because of the clapping and cheering that you would hear once you made that vertical fall from the top and crashing straight into the water below, making you feel really brave and admired by the people who stood by the side watching. Ahh I know it’s so superficial but actually though, it made me so happy.
Cold winds aside, everything else was perfect. I had so much fun running around the park and skipping from one island to the other. Meeting Spiderman was cool but the minions were the cutest thing ever (sorry Captain America), don’t you think so?
And the tagline for the day couldn’t be more perfect - “I haven’t had this much fun since I was a kid!” Islands of Adventure Diary
